Aimée Preston

You don’t make a photograph just with a camera. You bring to the act of photography all the pictures you have seen, the books you have read, the music you have heard, the people you have loved.

My Story

A heart warming thank you for coming to check out my work and learn more about what makes me tick – and click!

I have been photographing kids and their families ever since I can remember. It all started with a part time job working for a local photographer whilst finishing my last year at high school. Since then I have never looked back. Photography has taken me around the world and taught me to appreciate and enjoy the every day moments of life.

I now have my own gorgeous family made up of two little cherubs (occasionally referred to as little monsters!) and my supportive and ever tolerant hubby! We can regularly be found at our local beach hunting out crabs or building sand castles.

My aim is to provide each family with not only a professional service and photos they love but also to make the experience fun and relaxed for everyone involved. I keep my prices low and affordable as I believe everyone deserves to have gorgeous photos of the people that mean the most to them.

Why photographs are important to me…

Life passes us by too fast. Moments we promise ourselves that we’ll cherish forever fade into distant memories. Photographs provide us that opportunity to kick start our memory allowing us to re-live and re-love. The photo next to this blurb is my daughter. The image snapped as she waits for me, her Dad and little brother to catch up with her during a family outing to Waiuku Forest. For me – this is her. At this stage of her life and development. And now it is documented – for her, for me and for future generations.

With love,
